High number of IT outages being reported by large organizations

90% of large businesses report experiencing major IT incidents throughout the year, and 60% report outages occurring on a monthly basis, yet only about half have a team dedicated to handling such occurrences. This is according to a study conducted by Dimensional Research on behalf of xMatters.

Common sense suggests that the sooner you respond to an incident, the better chance you will have of managing it successfully, but a report commissioned by xMa​tters has highlighted that poor communications management means that, during an IT disruption, finding the right person to investigate the issue can take as long as resolving it, or perhaps even longer.
