​NHS services across England have been hit by an IT failure caused by a significant cyber attack, with Trusts and hospitals in London, Blackburn, Nottingham, Cumbria and Hertfordshire all affected. ​The threat of ransomware is rapidly growing with 43% of IT consultants in a survey by ​Intermedia reporting they have had customers fall victim to an attack. 48% saw an increase in ransomware related support inquiries and 59% of respondents expect the number of attacks to increase this year.
