​ISO publishes 22316:2017 – Security and resilience - Organizational resilience - Principles and attributes

The International Organization for Standardization has recently published a new standard that provides guidance to enhance organizational resilience for any size or type of organization. This international standard - ISO 22316:2017 - defines organizational resilience as: “the ability of an organization to absorb and adapt in a changing environment”.

Identity fraud has hit the highest levels ever recorded with 172,919 identity frauds recorded in 2016, more than in any other previous year. The study by ​Cifas showed that identity fraud now represents over half of all fraud recorded (53.3%), of which 88% was perpetrated online.

Yesterday I attended the Scottish Continuity Resilient Scotland Conference at the RBS Headquarters in Edinburgh. The opening speaker was John Swinney MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills.
