The Business Continuity Institute is delighted to announce that Tim Janes Hon. FBCI will be the new Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the Institute, as voted for by his fellow members of the Global Membership Council. Two thirds of organizations aren’t prepared to recover from a cyber attack, according to a new study by the Ponemon Institute on behalf of Resilient (an IBM Company), and only a third of organizations feel they have a high level of cyber resilience.

When it comes to assessing an organization’s ability to recover from a disaster, a significant disconnect exists between C-Suite executives and IT professionals. While nearly 7 in 10 CEOs, CFOs or COOs feel their organization is very prepared to recover from a disaster, according to a study by Evolve IP, less than half of IT pros (44.5%) are as confident.
